Funkita Squad competition winners!

We're excited to share with you the winners of our Funkita Squad competition! What better way to spend an afternoon than with your Funkita Squad at a Funkita photo shoot?! Check out the awesome photos of the Diving WA girls, along with some of the pics from their competition entry.

The girls come from the three squads within the National Elite Pathway, all who train at Challenge Stadium in Perth. The squads include the Diving Australia National Elite Pathway Program (NEPP), the Diving WA State Talent Program and the Emerging Talent Program. There's seven divers in each program and their ages are from 8-15 years old. That's a lot of pikes and somersaults happening each day!

For the girls in the NEPP and State Talent Program, their focus is on the 2017 Elite Junior National Championships, for the Emerging Talent Program divers, they are working toward the 2017 State Championships.

The NEPP squad are coached by Kim Hynynen-Fuler and the State Talent Program and Emerging Talent Program squads are coached by Emma Lynch who doubled as a photographer for the girls' entry into the Funkita Squad competition.

"The best thing about coaching this amazing squad of divers is that they are all so hard-working, driven and passionate about diving. They come to training every day and work so hard to achieve their goals and dreams. Although we have times where we don't want to train and want to give up, the one thing that is most special and brings us back to training is the family bonds we have created," Emma says.
