The new Free2Fly collection has finally landed so get dried off and get in-store or online now to see all the latest prints and new styles worn by some of our champion F-Team #funkettes.
Our star South African #funkette is Lara Van Niekerk who swims for the Pretoria Aquatic Club. She recently celebrated her 19thbirthday and is the South African and African record holder in the 50m Breaststroke and at this year's World Champs Lara won Bronze in the 50m breaststroke. At 18, Van Niekerk was the first African woman to swim the 50m Breaststroke in under 30 seconds.
Our newest #funkette is Canadian swimming prodigy Summer McIntosh. The 15-year-old Toronto swimmer was the youngest Olympian for Team Canada in Tokyo, finishing fourth in the 400m freestyle in a new Canadian record time. Since then, she has continued her extraordinary trajectory up the global swimming ranks posting remarkable times that have firmly establish her as the world’s best. Her performance at this year's World Championships in Budapest was extraordinary, winning gold in the 200m Butterfly and 400m IM and setting two Junior World and Canadian records. Summer has trained in Funkita since she started competitive swimming so we are so excited to have her on-board as an official F-Teamer and wearing the latest Free2Fly collection!
We also have the incredible Melissa Wu modelling the latest Free2Fly collection. Mel is back training and competing internationally after her Olympic bronze medal in Tokyo. She and synchro partner and fellow Funkette Charli Petrov teamed up at the 2022 World Champs in Budapest competing in the 10m platform. They have their eyes set the podium at the upcoming Commonwealth Games and are looking forward towards Paris 2024. Mel has triumphed over injuries (not surprising when you hit the water from a 10 metre drop every day) and continues to demonstrate why she's a true champion for diving and Australia.
The new Free2Fly collection celebrates colour from the bright geometrics like Building Blocks, Kickflip, Patch Panels and Spin Doctor to the pop art power of Kiss Kiss, Lip Service and Lippy Love, we've made the best and brightest even better and brighter!
We have another Flashback release of prints this time with the classics Fantasy Flight, Macaw Magic, Tribal Revival Stroke Rate, Zorse Code and Bel Air Beats. Get in quick though as there will be limited stock of these prints which sold out in only days when they were first available!
