F-Team Stars Set To Shine At Uni Games
Sian Whittaker takes off in the APEX.
Between submitting assignments and studying for exams, it's hard to find time for extra-curricular activities at uni, unless of course you're training flat out to pursue your Olympic dreams! That's what many of the athletes that have arrived in Taipei have in common as racing kicks off at World University Games. From August 18-30, 5 Funkita F-Teamers will be going head-to-head with some of the world's top athletes!
After securing herself 2 silver medals at the British Summer Championships, Scottish swimmer Kathryn Greenslade (@katgreenslade) has her eyes set on that podium finish for her 4 events at the Games. Kathryn will be racing in the 4x100m freestyle, 100m backstroke, 4x200m freestyle and the 200m freestyle.

Charlotte Evans (featured centre) is set to race the 200m backstroke in Taipei
UK F-Teamer Charlotte Evans (@charlottemevans_) chose not to compete at the British Summer Championships, instead making the 200m backstroke event in Taipei her main focus and goal as she strives for gold. Also representing Great Britain is Jessica Jackson (@jessxjackson). Jessica is set to race the 4x100m freestyle relay and the 4x200m freestyle relay in Taipei.
Aussie star and F-Teamer Sian Whittaker (@sian_whittaker1) has packed her Funkitas and is representing Australia and Deakin University. Team New Zealand athlete and Funkita F-Teamer Carina Doyle (@carinadoyle) is stepping up to the blocks in multiple events, getting ready to take on the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 200m freestyle and 400m freestyle.
