F Team take on Mare Nostrum Barcelona

With only 6 weeks until the swimming world assembles in Kazan, Russia, for the 16th FINA World Championships, the need for international race experience has never been more important.

Our UK based F-Teamers have just completed their latest international warm up meet, the Mare Nostrum series in Barcelona.  Joined by Finland based F-Teamer Hanna Maria Seppala, Molly Renshaw, Aimee Willmott and Duncan Scott used the meet to gain valuable race experience before World Championships.

The meet featured a number of current and former world champions and world record holders along with up and coming swimmers from across the globe.

Aimee Willmott had the stand out performance of the F-Teamers with a bronze in the 200 fly.  While Aimee's 200 fly was the only medal for the F-Teamers, all made finals to gain further valuable international experience.

The event now moves to Monaco on June 13/14 for the final meet of the 3 meet series.
