Triathlon F-Teamer World Champion!

Funkita is proud to sponsor German-born triathlete Sophia Saller who is climbing the world rankings with an incredible year of results. Residing in the UK where she is studying mathematics at Oxford University, Sophia has been crowned the under 23 World Champion and the German and under 23 Elite Champion.

Last month in Edmonton, Canada at the World Triathlon Championships, Sophia blitzed the field in the run after a strong display in the water and on the bike, to win by 200 metres to take the World title.

She then backed up in her home country just a week later at the German Elite Triathlon. Overcoming fatigue and mechanical problems on the bike, she fell short at the finish by only 2 seconds to Kiwi Andrea Hewitt. As the first German across the line she cemented her spot as the German Elite Champion.

We are so excited to watch Sophia continue her progression through the senior ranks and are very proud to have her on the Funkita F-Team.
