F-Team Update

The last couple of months have been packed with some of the biggest swim meets in the world taking place, including the Commonwealth Games, Pan Pacifics and Para Pan Pacs.

The 20th Commonwealth Games came to an end in August and our 8 F-Team swimmers had some great results. Here?s a quick wrap up:

Belinda Hocking came home with 2 Gold medals and a bronze, Jayden Hadler won Gold and Silver medals, Taylor McKeown won a Gold and Blake Cochrane and Lakeisha Patterson each won themselves a Bronze Medal.

Six of our multi-class swimmers headed to Pasadena, California for the Para Pan Pacific Championships and had some great results there. Taylor Corry won 2 gold medals and 2 silver medals while Lakeisha Patterson won 1 gold and 4 bronze medals. Jacob Templeton won a Silver and Bronze medal bringing the total number of medals accumulated by the F-Teamers to 11.

Our elite athletes also competed on the Gold Coast late in august at the Hancock Prospecting Pan Pacific Championships so again we kept a close eye on their events. Both Belinda and Taylor won medals at the championships with Belinda winning a gold and a silver and Taylor winning herself a bronze.

A special mention has to go to Alanna Bowles who, at only 16, has now made two national teams and came a very close 4th in Glasgow so we will be watching her carefully over the months ahead.
