Our Athletes Continue To Excel on The World Stage

Great results for our Funkita girls, both locally and internationally. Natalia Van Coevorden and Jaimee Leader both came 16th in their respective events at the World Triathlon champs in London. Sarah Lester was at the WSTC Duathlon in Altona - and won gold in the long course event! It was also a great weekend for Funky Trunks boys Jacob Hansford and Liam Cunneen at the Schools Sports Australia Swimming Champs in Adelaide. Jacob walked away with 6 medals while NSW Team vice-captain Liam won ten including 4 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze as well as a new Aussie record for the 200m IM and a SSA Sportsmanship Award. A great weekend for all involved, keeping up the good work.
